Bridging the Digital Divide Where It’s Needed Most

The DEGESI project is strategically implemented across four of Kenya’s most marginalized counties: Turkana, Wajir, Garissa, and Elgeyo Marakwet. Selected based on high poverty levels and significant digital exclusion, each county presents a unique landscape of challenges and opportunities. From the arid plains of Turkana to the agricultural highlands of Elgeyo Marakwet, we are delivering context-specific digital inclusion programs designed to empower women, youth, smallholder farmers, and persons with disabilities—right where they live.

One Mission, Four Pathways to Digital Inclusion

While each county faces distinct geographic, cultural, and economic realities, they are united by a common goal: ensuring no one is left behind in Kenya’s digital transformation. Through persistence, partnership, and locally-led solutions, DEGESI is proving that even in the hardest-to-reach areas, digital skills can ignite hope, foster resilience, and unlock sustainable opportunity. Together, we are not only bridging divides—we are building a more connected, capable, and inclusive future, one community at a time.
